The International Aviation and Space Salon (MAKS) has been held in Russia since 1993.
It is held under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation with his personal participation, as well as with the participation of leaders of partner countries of Russia. The organizers of the MAKS are the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and Rostekh Group, the organizer is Aviasalon OJSC.
Every two years in the city of Zhukovsky in the Moscow region in the complex created on the basis of the airfield of the Gromov Flight Research Institute, an exhibition of achievements of the Russian aerospace complex and a fair of the latest aircraft of the world's leading countries.
Today, the Russian MAKS is among the ten largest world air forums, including Le Bourget and Farnborough, ILA Berlin Air Show, Dubai Airshow, Airshow China and others.
The Air Show in the Moscow region gathers over 140 thousand specialists, as well as over 570 thousand participants and guests. More than eight hundred exhibitors from three dozen countries are accommodated at MAKS exhibition areas, which exceed 26 thousand square meters in pavilions and 160 thousand square meters in outdoor areas.
