Regarded by many as the best railway show in Asia, this annual show combines;

A wide-ranging exhibition,

A comprehensive conference programme

The Annual Congress of the Asian Railway Operators Association

Provides ‘A one-stop solution for all your product and information needs’

2500 m² exhibition space

2000+ participants

120 conference delegates

10 Asian railway operators

RSA 2022 was our eleventh successful Malaysian show and after a 2 year gap, due to Covid 19, the 2000+ participants who attended were delighted to be back at a live rail event. As usual, the show was very well supported by the local rail authorities and we are pleased to be returning to the Malaysian capital for the 2023 show.

The climb back from covid sees major infrastructure projects reinvigorating the economies of South East Asia, including Malaysia, which remains an important railway market and makes Kuala Lumpur the ideal venue for this important railway event.

Existing and proposed projects include;

A system of three new MRT lines, with more than 150km of track is currently being built in Kuala Lumpur

MRT 1 from Sungai Buloh to Kajang started full service in July 2017

MRT 2 Phase I started operations in June 2022, with Phase II scheduled to open in January 2023

MRT 3 Phase I is due to open in 2028, with construction scheduled to start in early 2023

LRT3 from Bandar Utama to Klang was 77% complete at the end of Q3 2022 and is due to be completed in 2024

Construction on the 640 km (ECRL) East Coast mainline was 30% complete in July 2022.

The final section of double tracking & electrification on the West Coast mainline should be completed in Mid 2023

In addition to the delegations from up to 10 Asian railway operators, who will attend the 18th Annual Congress of the Asian Railway Operators Association (see conference and AROA pages for full details), Malaysia is also strategically placed to attract trade visitors and conference delegates from across the region.

The event will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The venue is situated in the heart of the KL's central business district and offers first-class conference facilities and exhibition halls all under one roof.
