CIECA 2024

Hosted by the Roads & Transport Authority of Dubai, the 56th annual Assembly and Conference of The International Commission for Driver Testing will take place over two days in March.

In visiting Dubai, CIECA intends to open the doors of this – its main annual event – to all organisations around the globe interested in contributing to the improvement of road safety, not only in Europe but worldwide.

The Congress will be a forum for all researchers, practitioners and stakeholders interested in driver testing who develop their professional activities within CIECA member organisations, plus other public and private institutions engaged in road safety topics.

For this occasion, the theme of Preparing drivers for smart mobility and road safety has been selected. As well as looking at long-standing issues such as the impact of distraction, inattention, and fatigue on road safety, the Congress’ agenda will also embrace emerging topics including smart driving in future cities, escooter safety, and the impact of autonomous vehicles on driver education and testing.
