ZUKUNFT NEURORADIOLOGIE 2022

The motto of next year’s congress is “Future Neuroradiology”. We hereby emphasize the very cross-sectional subject of neuroradiology as being the medicine of the future; furthermore we will discuss the question of future changes in diagnostics and therapy that refer to new developments in the area of artificial intelligence.

Thus for the first time we will launch a forum called StAR-Lounge (Start-up and Applied Research) that brings together users and developers of artificial intelligence, robotic as well as big-data-analyses who will be able to discuss future trends with each other. Additionally, an application-oriented workshop – “Artificial Intelligence for Neuroradiologists” – will take place at the beginning of the congress.

Neuroradiology has an interdisciplinary character. Therefore we will debate the main disease-related topics such as neuro-oncology, inflammatory CNS disorders, neurodegeneration, spine, and cerebrovascular diseases with colleagues from neighboring disciplines.

Something else is new at neuroRAD 2022: sessions with power pitches are going to challenge all speakers. They will have to present their projects to a large audience within a very short time before the topic will be elaborately discussed on the poster.

In addition to our improvements we will of course continue with “Fit für den Facharzt”, meaning our Continuing Medical Education program, the video-cases and our program for radiographers (planned by the Radiographers’ Association in the German Röntgen Society, VMTB, as well as the Austrian Association for Radiological Technology, rtaustria) and not least the keynote lectures, and our neuro-anatomy course which was launched in 2018.

Moreover we will again offer the German Stroke School which will primarily be open to our international guests and some German speaking participants.

Following an old tradition we will again host our next annual meeting together with the Austrian Society of Neuroradiology. We look forward to having numerous guests from our neighboring country – and of course from all around the world!
