OIL & GAS AFRICA - Tanzania is a major exhibition focused on bringing together leading suppliers and buyers of equipment and services for the oil and gas industry in the East African region. This event is not only a key international event on Oil and Gas exploration in Tanzania but also an important platform for establishing and building business relations globally. Oil & Gas Africa is hub for critical players in the Oil and Gas industry, attracting leading oil, gas and petroleum companies from around the world.

Tanzania's petroleum industry is competitive with many consumers and producers. The downstream petroleum sector involves the manufacturing and the wholesale and retail trade in refined fuels and petroleum products, such as petrol, diesel, kerosene, lubricants and LPG. Tanzania imports all its refined petroleum products from abroad, mainly from India, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Singapore, South Africa, Kenya, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda and Congo. There are over 1,000 service stations in Tanzania operated by more than 50 registered oil marketing companies that are involved in the supply, distribution and sales of petroleum products. The upstream oil and gas sector requires various types of equipment and services, such as drilling rigs, seismic surveys, well testing, logging, cementing, stimulation, completion, production, maintenance, decommissioning, environmental management, security, logistics, and consultancy. There are opportunities for local and foreign companies to supply these equipment and services to the upstream oil and gas operators in Tanzania.
