KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL "OIL & GAS" EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE

KIOGE – is an authoritative platform for presentation of innovative technologies and main trends of oil and gas industry development. Being one of the most important industry events, it promotes the development of current economic ideas and the development of specific solutions for oil and gas sector.

Purpose of the event - coverage and discussion of issues and current topics of oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan, the introduction of "smart" technologies, digitalization of oil production processes.

OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

Oil and gas is one of the main sectors of industry in the economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is the world's 12th-largest country by proven reserves of oil and gas condensate, 22nd-largest by natural gas reserves, and 17th-largest by oil and gas production.

•About 200 oil and gas fields are in the country.

• Total reserves are estimated at 11-12 billion tons.

• Almost 70% of these resources are concentrated in the western regions of Kazakhstan.

KASHAGAN FIELD

the Kashagan field is one of the largest oil fields discovered in the past four decades, with recoverable reserves of approximately 9-13 billion barrels (1-2 billion tons) of oil. The collector of the Kashagan offshore field is located 80 km from Atyrau city at a depth of 3-4 meters under water and more than 4 km (4,200 meters) below the seabed.

TENGIZ FIELD

the recoverable oil reserves of the Tengiz and Korolev fields amount to 1.4 billion tons. The Tengiz field is the world's deepest supergiant oil field, with the upper oil-bearing reservoir at a depth of approximately 4,000 meters. The Tengiz reservoir is 20 kilometers long and 21 kilometers wide, and the height of the oil-bearing layer is 1.6 kilometers.

KARACHAGANAK OIL AND GAS CONDENSATE FIELD (KAGCF)

occupies an area of more than 280 km2 and is located in the northwestern part of Kazakhstan. According to KPO's latest oil, gas, condensate and associated components reserves re-estimation report on Karachaganak (adopted by the State Reserves Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan on 17.11.2017), Karachaganak's reserves are estimated at 13.6 billion barrels of liquid hydrocarbons and 59.4 trillion CFG, of which approximately 13.6% liquid hydrocarbons and approximately 12.9% gas are produced as of 2020.
